On the high side NOAA is forecasting over 20" between now and close of business Thursday in town. On the low side 8". Have some faith gents! Keep in mind this el nino has a ocean water temp pattern much further north than any prior event. I live in Oregon most of the year and we are getting POUNDED with moisture so far this winter which was not how 1997 went here. Perspective, there is hope of a monster year! Not sure why so many people want to call their shot and point to the fence of snow failure. :face-icon-small-ton

Web cams of Island Park!

I thumbs up'd this post myself as it only took me 30 minutes and about 20 edits to freaking embed the cameras right!

7" overnight according to the while elephant snowtel site! My security cameras show LOTS of white. More coming all this week. This weekend will be a nice ride if its not still snowing!

we picked up about 8" yesterday, heavy wet snow. Reminds me of the snow we get in AK. The avalanche danger has to be off the charts. Pretty warm today, snow settled down a couple of inches... should make for a great base. About 12-15 inches total on the ground, but the next few days should bolster those numbers. I'll keep ya'll up to date as conditions warrant.. :face-icon-small-hap

Black Bear snowtel shows 38inches @ 8000ft, time to ride this weekend for sure, temps start dropping today too so we might actually get some pow on top of the base. Things are def looking up.

Who Knows?

I see on NOAA, snow, snow, snow and temperatures dropping later in the week for IP. 100% for Thursday. Another killer storm out in the Pacific on it's way. That one looks like it's packing more of a punch. More are lined up out there like a convoy. That's the way they made it sound on the Weather Channel anyway. The weather Bozo's here are talking a major weather event for us next Wednesday.
