2014 Pro-RMK 600 155 $2700 SOLD

We just picked up a 2014 Pro-RMK 600 155 for my wife.
After a few weeks of ownership, we've decided it's not a good fit for her.

It has 2015 regular RMK side panels, but it is a 2014 Pro-RMK.

It has higher miles and naturally a few scrapes and bruises, but it runs great.

The tunnel and structure are straight and true. Plastic has a few blemishes, but nothing bad. All electrical works, steering isn't sloppy.

The motor was rebuilt at about 4000 miles according to the dealer. (Their rental outfit owned it before us.) It has ~7800 on it right now. The engine has great compression and runs strong. It starts on the first pull when warm, and the second or third when dead cold. They were running Polaris VES Gold oil in it and I have continued to do so.

The clutches were recently serviced and both the drive and Quick Drive belts have less than 200 miles on them. The slides were replaced at the same time.

The track does have a bit of weather checking at the base of the paddles, but still plenty of life in it. No rips or tears or missing paddles. There is also an extra set of idlers mounted to the outside of the rails, and reversible scratchers.

I'm sure it could use a shock oil change. They seem stiff to me, and we did have the front of the skid lock up compressed on one ride. I believe that's a sign of water contamination. Andy at gasshockrepair.com could do a oil and seal change for about $150.

The covering over the intakes is also shredded, but I have a line on some good ones.

We are asking $2700. Pretty good deal for what it is, I think...

Sled is located in SW CO. If it helps, we're planning to head to West Yellowstone in the next month or so.

Just had someone request a compression check. I got 95 on one cyl and 96 on the other. That sounds low until you consider that I'm at 7k' elevation. Converting to sea level gives about 118psi, which is right where the CFI 600 should be.

This thing is in great condition and runs strong. Surely somebody must be interested...

Why wasn't it a good fit?

It was way too stiff for her. Even for us big guys, with the coils backed off to full soft, it was really hard to get up on edge and hold there. And that's compared to the M8's I have...

Any bump on the grounded ski would throw it right back down. We ran some singletrack and it tried to kill me twice... Hit a bump with the left ski and it would roll the whole sled over. It was like the front suspension was 5x too stiff...

My wife is 5'4"/120lbs. The bars are high on this thing, and everyone I talked to after we bought it said it really wasn't a good fit for a smaller rider like her. (Of course, before we bought it, all I could find were positive reviews talking about the theory of it being a great sled for smaller riders, since it was so light and all...)

A shock service may have improved it some, but it seemed like it would be pretty unlikely to make that much of a difference... We already made a deal for an M6000 with electric start that she test rode in West Yellowstone. It was far easier for her to handle than this Pro.
