Keep thinking this would be a good mod. Been thinking a cut down 154 3.5 pitch doo track would work good. Any one do anything similar
? If so how did it work? I need a new track for my m8 so thought I'd just put the 3" off my proclimb on it. And look for a 3.5 pitch 3" to put on the 17 mtn cat. Really like the new power claw but don't want the alpha skid or the mono rail. Just think the longer pith would fill the paddle better and of course weigh less.

I keep thinking about taking an alpha track and punching it and clipping it to fit a twin rail and changing my drivers

The track is absolutely an animal in deep snow.
Buy the Alpha Track, punch some holes and clip each paddle...
Drivers too.

I don't know if it is as much the Alpha track, or the track in combination with the monorail allowing the track to flex and contour to the snow under it that gives so much more traction.

doo it, i am interested to hear.
seems like the only downfall to the large two-paddle tracks (like alpha, PC, conquer) is they down hill a little faster. or has the alpha magically cured this trait?

Are we to see a 4" paddle with 4" pitch as the track wars progress?

Ha only thing really that limits the rider and sled now is how deep the snow which has to be near 4 feet plus. Less than that factory sleds can get around pretty great. Probably see bigger engines or forced induction before 4 inch tracks.
