I have a couple old phazers and am trying to find out what year they are the Serial numbers are as follows 8BH-004082 and the other one is 8X9-024664 if anyone can help out I would greatly appriciate it thanks Jim

what colors are they?

8X9-024664 is black and is a limited? 8BH-024664 is red and is a Phazer 2 ST

i would say the red one if its all red its around a 94-96 if its red/white its a 90-92. is the black one all black or is there another color on it?

The black one has a gold and a red stripe around the hood the front suspension is narrower as well as different. Its older its a special edition PZ480 SE

maybe an 87- 89. did you ever go run the serial number at a dealer? they will be able to tell you for sure. or look on the tunnel and look for a date of manufacture. lol maybe i should have told you that earlier! :face-icon-small-sho

Did a quick check for you on yamaha's website, it will run any VIN post-1988, the sled with the VIN: 8BH-004082 comes up as a 1995, the other model must be pre-'88 as it says "data not available"

Thanks for the help. The local dealer had no idea what he was doing and the other one I called wont return my calls pretty frustrating. Once again thank you Jim
