Folks, hope someone can help me with this. I have a head that i don;t know if its for a pre 2010 m8 or after ??..is there a way to tell since its absent of part numbers ?..Thanx...also looking for one HO cylinder in fine shape..

Go to eBay and look up pre ho and later ho heads and get a picture that's about the only way to tell
i assume even though the heads are similar bolt ons they are not interchangeable for varies reasons..?
They are interchangeable it's just a 10 and up head has a tighter squish band to it
well then could i cut a pre 2010 head to have a tighter squish similar to the 2010 and up h/o...any specs out there on how many thou cut ..??
Just buy a 10 and up head is going to cost you the same to buy one off of eBay as it is to have one cut from SLP
is it a dome cut as well or just a head surface cut...i have access to a machinist that can cut the head surface on a mill for free..if i knew the amount of cut...
but yea...your right...lots for sale cheap...safer option
Lot of the 2010-11 turbo guys were buying the 07 and nine heads for the lower compression
