I thought I'd give some feedback. I picked up a 640 penetrator and mounted it on my KTM500. I've got bike bonz handlebar mounts, and I was able to use slightly longer bolts to mount it directly to the handlebar mounts.
I haven't ridden at night yet to report on how the 40° beam works, but I anticipate it being perfect for my needs.

They are made in Canada.. And work really well, I highly recommend them.
On the KTM if you mount the light this way, your computer is hidden, but also somewhat protected.
