01 Summit 800 will not start please help

Out riding yesterday having a great time stopped to help my dad get through a tough section he shut off his summit 800 by the kill switch. Went to start sled and it wouldnt start. No spark wth checked all the the wiring unhooked kill switch still not spark. After a bout a hour of work we got to a place where i could tow it towed it home dont know where to start.

I would start with the kill switch. if it was working fine before you hit the kill switch something may have broken within it.

ya we unhooked it still no dice took it apart nothing wrong

finally got some time took the stator out it has 3 melted coils so it looks as though that is the problem

put new stator in started right up that was the problem boy when that thing runs it runs good
