Seat storage has a hole

Picked up my mountain cat and noticed yesterday that there appears to be a hole in the storage area. Attached is the best picture I could take of it. It looks like a stitch let go. Do others have this or is mine a defect? If it’s supposed to be there, why?

I checked the other sleds at the dealer and 2 others were like this. So I’m confused.

It’s a sick ride though. Can’t wait for some snow to get out and break her in!

I think that’s where the pump goes for your shocks, at least that’s where mine was stored. Seems to fit well there anyways.

that's exactly whats its for the pump handle goes in there so your shock pump is safe

My 14 ES doesn't have anything that looks even remotely close to that. Am I missing something?

ES don't have that option the battery sits there
