Core cylinder needed

Hey All, I an in need of a core value cylinder. I have a mis matched set, I have a good 88J2 and a 88J5 with a deep scratch, So best case I would like to find a 88J2.

Can the Nikasil company fix a deep scratch? should I even care of the mis match of cores?

Cylinder Core

When I got my new cylinder I asked him for the one I wanted and he took my mismatch no problem. Just know if you want your decompression hole or not. That is the only difference.

That wouldn't work on a ported cylinder, forgot about that part...

So anyone got a core jug?

Millenium at least can fix pretty badly damaged cylinders. If necessary, they can bore the coating off, weld scratches, bore that back down and re-coat.

So should I worry two different casting #'s
I'll need to match a ported cylinder, and all I have is a mis match set

To the best of my knowledge, the only difference among them is the presence and position of a decompression hole. I think the j2 doesn't have one at all, the j4 has one located in an exhaust boost port and the j5 has it centered over the main exhaust port. I usually plug them anyway when I am having cylinders replated or making a big bore. Hope this helps.

Cool, I have not found a match as of yet.
I usually have the hole welded also, now if could get over my OCD I'd be under way on this project

Just send your...

ported cylinder to millennium. They repair way worse than a deep scratch every day. millennium technologies 920 893 5595
