So has anyone received their Polaris accessories yet? I purchased a front bumper, rear bumper and ski loops with the sled but they did not come with it and Polaris will not respond with an ETA. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?

Just picked this up today! I'm waiting on blue ultimate bumpers, blue boards, blue windshield and under seat bag. The dealer wasn't sure when Polaris is sending them but there is two options at the moment. It might sound like it depends on demand... if the dealer sold significant accessories during snowchecking they will be on a bulk delivery later this summer. If there wasn't too many preordered, they will arrive with 15/16 Polaris winter clothing and merchandise.

You'd be wrong in your thinking (IMO); as the usage of advanced materials and construction techniques go more widespread, the price will come down and the manufactures will continue to push to build lighter vehicles (not just sleds). The lighter the mass they have to motivate the greater the fuel economy or the greater the performance, with essentially the same engine (HP).

If the manufacture really wanted to, they could produce a 400 # wet weight RTR sled for very little up charge over the current models. Due to them building tens of thousands of units instead of the privateer building hundreds at best. Purely economy of scale.

The listed capacity difference is only 0.9 U.S. gallons.
The skidoo holds 10.6 USG (40 litres) and the pro Axys holds 11.5 USG (43.5 litres), so at 6.1 lbs/usg, the difference in wet weight due to fuel capacity is 5.5lbs.
