i was at the drag races this weekend and my 05 900rmk runs great good power good speed but off the starting line when i punch the throttle it has a bog or sputter that quickly cleans its self out but cost me both my races. any ideas?

fuel filter has never been replaced i have 2500miles on it so that sounds like a good idea. and yes it will only bog from a dead start if i roll onto it it run perfect everytime. and it bogs weather i am preloaded to 4000rpm (for drag race starts) or at an idle either way a dead start brings a bog\sputter.

Does it make a difference how much fuel you have in the tank (only bogs when low on fuel)? Is there a chance you could be hitting the rev limiter? (Rev-cut out-rev)?

fuel level makes no difference, clutch is working perfectly as per the spring i have in it, no chance of over rev as the sle revs out to 7650 7700rpm max and ive never hit a rev limiter and ive had it rev over 8000 before.

i thought about it last night and i remembered that the last 2 or 3 mountain rides ive added oil to my gas, could this have an affect on the fuel filter or could it possibly have loaded up my bottom end?
