I have done it on my 850 but I went and bought
A metric bolt the same threads so there was more threads to hold the Teflon tape.

Anyone know if the water trick for clutch removal will work on the G4?
Thanks

yes

1Remove clutch bolt.

2Lay sled on side.

3Put Teflon tape on clutch bolt threads to hold back water

4Fill clutch bolt hole with water

5Screw in clutch bolt fast and the pressurized water will pop off clutch bolt.

6repeat step 4 & 5 until successful

Make sure to use good Teflon tape and not the cheap stuff, ask me how I know.

There’s a few YouTube videos online about doing the water trick. I’ve used (or tried to) use a clutch puller on my primary and the scared the heck out of me, with the amount of force I had to apply.

Water trick worked quite easy and was much much less aggressive.
