Well just curious if maybe theres anyone out there willing to help me with a question I've got. I'd really appreciate any imput.

I've never been into pipe and can mods,
But my new sled is so quite I'd like something with more of a rumble.
I was curious if you could fit and pipe and can mix on any size engine,
As long as it fits the chassis?

If not,
What is it that makes them engine specific?

Thanks.

Keep it quiet, keep it stock. If you want more spunk get a bigger engine. If you want noisy machines get a Harley. Our winter recreation partners will thank you.

You have a good question...

A well designed pipe and silencer are a matched pair.

2 stroke tuned pipes are designed to work as a system with the muffler (or lack of on a race sled).

There are many that Mix a pipe with another muffler or stinger... this gets away from the HP figures if the flow characteristics are changed thru the pipe (AKA "pipe timing")...

Pipes are designed for a specific engine, the shape and size of a pipe is related to other things such as bore size, RPM, compression, and many other design considerations.

Good luck with your project...
