In mods to make a 120 faster until I get a snowscoot

I have a 09 Polaris 120 that my 5 year is on his last year riding. I want to get one more season out of it until little brother takes it over. Is there any way to get a couple more MPH out of these things without taking away the reliabllity? I would like to go on some short trail rides with him but 8 MPH is really slow.

Open the engine and remove the governor, recmotors intake kit, adjustable mainjet, and put a 32 tooth rear gear on it. That will get you about 15-16mph on smooth flat snow. You'll have to use a half link in the chain. Run the track as loose as possible.
