Are M8 & M7 Belts interchangeable

I was wondering if the 07' M8 belts are interchangeable with the 06' M7 belts? I know they have different part numbers but was wondering if there was anything physically different about them that would keep someone from running a M7 belt on an M8 or vice versa?

036 belt is for a 10" secondary that is on the 05-06 M sleds
046 is for 10.4 secondary that is on 07 M sleds

M7 belt is a little shorter however you could probly take some shims out of you secandary bolt and run it if you were in a jam
