Rode my sled with the new silber kit running 3 lbs and no av gas a couple weeks ago and ran perfect! It was at 1500ft elevation and about 20 degrees out.
Today I took it out after installing a boost gauge in the charge pipe with about 4 gallons of race fuel, it was about -10 degrees out with the same spring and clutching. The boost gauge read 7 lb and my det code popped up, had to put and extra 6 grams per weight in so it didn’t over rev.

I’m not sure if the koso boost gauge is reading right and don’t know why it’s putting out more boost. Any ideas what is going on? Thanks in advance

Check your waste gate they are prone to rusting and sticking shut make sure it goes up and down.

I also have a Koso boost gauge that I installed on my Silber last year... I have the gauge reading the same thing (running 3psi spring at 1200ft) showing 6-7 psi on the gauge. When I run the 7lb spring at 8000ft is shows 10psi...

As a note I have never had a DET issue...

I believe that the Koso gauge is a totally wrong because my clutching is where it needs to be per recommendation and other users on snowest. I only use it as a reference to help monitor in the case boost leak, etc. I should have used the VDO gauge like recommended by other but thought it would be nice to have some of the features of the Koso gauge (could have saved lots of money)

That's normal for them to run a few pounds heavy on boost.
My pro kit runs 5 psi w/ 3psi spring
7-8psi w/ 5spring
10 psi w/ 7 spring
14 psi w 3 and 7 spring doubled.

I just run a couple gallons of av at mn with the 3psi spring and no issues. Probably put on 1000 miles at this elevation.

Possible your gauge is wrong, also possible it is not. I run VDO gauges and have always been within about 1 pound of spring rate. Makes sure your WG cap is sealed properly. Also Eth Fuel mode will help with DET unless you are over reving a bunch.

So can u run the same clutching at any elevation and just adjust boost to achieve similar hp?

Pretty much,
I run the 7 psi spring out west and it runs about 100 rpm less than 3 psi around here.

What elevation are you riding out west?

Are your running the clutching that came with your Silber kit or something different? Thanks.
