Since when is Metallica "hair metal"? They along with Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax pioneered good ol' thrash metal (which thank God is making a comeback). Or am I thinking of glam metal? Not sure whats cool about latex pants, makeup and wigs, downright gay IMO.

Nice thread. I love 80's hair music. You've got all the normal bands (RATT, quiet riot, dokken, etc...), but this is a genre that is full of great bands that never made it.
