Hi, my right hand warmer is only working on low somewhat, tested it and not within the spec resistance numbers in the service manual. Anyways doing some reading, sounds like some really like the RSI aftermarket hand warmers, but in previous posts back a few years ago they say they have to solder the wires. Looking at what they have now say that they connect with OEM connectors. Do they?

One reason why i'm questioning it is because there was another Arctic cat replacement original hand warmer listed similar part number, looks like the same warmer same connector plug but its for a 2012-2013 arctic cat. Called a dealer and they said it will not fit my 2011? Are these connectors all different? The 2011 hand warmer part number is 0609-828. the 2012-2013 is 0609-856.
Here is a link to the 2012-2013 hand warmer:

What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Just go to RSI site and get the part number from there or even order them directly from them. I got my plug i. set directly from them. The $5 you might save isn't worth the greif of getting the wrong one or soldering the wrong wires together.

I bought one of the 2012 warmers this season because it was cheaper and it works just fine on my 09 M8, has the same plug.

Was the wire length shorter on the 2012-2013 hand warmer?

I didn't notice any difference, besides there being a thin layer of foam between the element and the adhesive, which actually make them work better by insulating them from the steel bars. Heats the grips noticeably faster.
