Has anyone in here used this kit ? What are your impressions with top end kit and with full pipe kit with 52mm t/b setup?

Any comparison to bmp 940? Thought i remember seeing 950s hit 200hp and 130ft lb at sea level?

Any personal experience appreciated

Thank you

From the reading I've done on snowest the rkt 925 with the jaws pipe seems to be the big bore of choice for the old Suzuki. Never read anything bad about the arctic edge 925 or the Dakota performance 920 either

I'm running the SSI 950 on my -14 M8000. Built it last winter and got around 180 miles on it.

Engine:

SSI 950 with low alt head.
Complete Jaws exhaust with trail can (For 925/950)
Boyesen rage cages with stock TB.
Mountainfithood headlight delete with intake (BDX Style)
PCV with timing control and BDX low alt tune
PC auto tune with POD-300 (Log AFR / temp and RPM) for tuning.
KOSO EGT.

Drive train:
21/49 gearing (Hyvo gears and chain)
Team tied secondary with 71-55.36 and 160/260 spring.
Promag weights @ 81.9g and SSI spring in the primary.
2.6" Power claw track.

Run on 91 (93 if i can find it) at sea level here in Scandinavia.

Compared to my brothers Lynx boondocker 800 Etec or Ported full bolt on Pro Rmk, its not even close. Not only is it way more powerful on top, but the midrange is just unreal.

I don't have any experience with other BB for this engine. Did however have a TSS turbo on the sled before the 950. I would say the 950 is equal or more powerful compared to the turbo at 10-11 PSI. (Lower comp, pump gas at sea level) The difference is that the 950 have all that power available from the second you grab the throttle. Its a night and day difference how the sled behaves.

I'm still working on the tune but i'm getting close to were i want to be. The tune i got was for the SSI pipe and 52mm TB.

Unless the engine fails i will run it this winter to before i disassemble it and have a look at the pistons.

Installing a MVM belt drive to for this season, with a bit lower gear ratio. Clutch calibration will probably have to be addressed as well.

I am looking at a BB also, was leaning towards the 950, I remember reading last year a lot of good about Dakota also and Had forgotten about them until this thread. Wonder how the kits compare.

My brother and I installed the 950 kit on our 09 HCR's last fall. Tons of instant power. He just pulled the 950 kit off his sled and is installing it in the '15 he just bought. I just bought a '15 that already has a 950 so I have my 09 950 sled up for sale. I am throwing around the idea of pulling the 950 kit and selling it seprate.

So it’s great you have or know if 3, any feedback besides tons of instant power?

Pull and go. No issues at all. We have approx. 600 miles on ours and no issues at all. Unload from 1300' and ride up to 7000'. The install was easy. I think the hardest part was setting the TPS and pulling the pins out of the jugs. The pictures attached are from this weekend when he pulled is 950 kit out of his 09.

Our shop has installed several of these kits and have a couple more in the works. This kit works with both HO and non HO engines the only thing you have to buy for the 07-09 engine is a HO Y-pipe. As stated above they are plug and play great power all around and insane torque. We run the low compression head with a couple gallons of race fuel to be safe since Yakima area we unload so low. Any questions feel free to call 509-823-4254

I hadnt heard of people needing race fuel with low altitude heads with this kit? Only reason i could see why is because squish band is tight

As stated we do it to be on safe side, we have one area we’re we unload at 1300 feet, a gallon of race fuel is cheap security!

Alright. I have this kit i bought used. It has some mild port work and reworking done. I was going to run it as is, then possibly raise cylinders 1 gasket width and see how it ran. It has a set of 14.1 heads but they have been milled in squish area so if i raise cylinders, they will be around 11.3:1 and have a .087 squish which may be way too much.. low alt heads would be around 11.65:1 and have around .056 squish with raised cylinders
