King cat 900 1M chassis swap

First question:
Is there something wrong with the King Cat chassis? It's not a lot different than the '01 600, but it is different.

Now to answer yours:
You'll need a jackshaft motor mount from an '01 or '02 Mountain Cat 800. You'll also need the right hand side rear motor mount from one. Once you have those, should be an easy swap.

Nothing wrong with the 1m chassis it's just too long for where I ride. It's a 162" track and a 136" track would be perfect for this area. And thanks for the information. Much appreciated

Just an FYI, you can shorten the King Cat chassis. You can replace the back half of the tunnel and the coolers. Then you could use the driveshaft/track/suspension out of the '01. I think you can only go down to a 144" that way, and it's probably more expensive.
