Can you fit a new Polaris engine like from a 2013 assault 8oo into a older Polaris like 2008 switchback?

I would like to go the other direction - put a 2008 860 Carls CFI into a Pro chassis...
But I believe the electronics are incompatible. If you were to change over all the electronics and wiring you could probably make it work... with enough effort... not sure it is worth it. Instead a CFI-4 motor with fix kit in it or an Indy Dan long rod, or 860 Carls, for reliability... or a 700, as that motor is a lot more reliable than a stock 800 and uses the same electronics... different flash on EMC is all.
