Black bear Snotel is physically located between west and I.p., it's pretty much located at the highest point east of U.S. 20, aside from Two Top

Might head up the day after Christmas if a storm comes through. Keep the updates coming as the snow falls!

M8 chris,

Rode IP today, very similar to Franklin basin last week ridable but a few storms shy of covering landmines. Managed 45 miles on logging roads, ravines with family today with no carnage, but had to use lots of caution.

So we picked up 14" in the past two days, Still snowing on and off, but we're getting wind at the house, if it blowing here it's probably ripping pretty good up high. This should make the base we need to get through the rest of the season. Haven't ridden in a couple of weeks, too many landmines, but I'll be up top in the AM destroying as much pow as possible. If your coming up tomorrow dress warm, not supposed to get over 10*, and there is an active avy warning for the area...

Snow is good up high, found tons of untouched areas but have hit a few land mines. Once this snow sets up a bit and another snow comes through it should be mint, but the rides we had the last 3 days were great
