Have a slight cold seize on pto piston so pulled it apart and this is what they look like. About 150 miles on rebuild. What do you guys think?

Tons of wash. I don't see any detonation but I do see some pitting on the mag piston? Or is that just debris or something? What type of pistons? Those don't look stock. Why the rebuild? What mods?

Could be as simple as you bought a crummy brand of pistons and they stick if you don't nurse them every warm-up and break them in for 500 miles.

just by looking at the top of the piston each is OEM cat piston. the mag side is about a stock wash the pto side is way too fat. do you have more info IE mods, pitchers of the side of the piston ect.

Just picked the sled up for a backup. 09 reflash, bmp y-pipe and pipe, boysen rage, bdx intake, pcv. Thinking I'll have rkt do porting and throw new pistons in it.

It looks to me like you have an imbalance in fueling between both sides too (major difference in wash). Is there fuel being trimmed from one side or the other in the map?

I see you have a PCV, but do you have anything on that sled to monitor the exhaust temperatures? If you have the sled tuned to run well the midrange gets hot quick between 5500-7000rpm.

Have egt's and yes it gets hot around that 6-6500 rpm. Just tore it down and pto side crank bearing is a little noisy.

What year? O7 was lucky to get 1800 before the pto side would give up 08 and up would make 4000. If your primary is out of balance or the crank is on the out side of runout it will do the same thing
