I dont recall if they had gone to the plastic recoils by 2001. If so, get a 2006-2007 Mach Z 1000 recoil. They cost the same, its a direct swap for the 600/800 plastic recoil and they're built alot tougher.

Not sure exactly who you are directing that question to?

I am the one selling them.

We have them on two of our sleds. And I have ran the first one on mine for several years. The second sled only about 3 yrs now. ???

I put some time on them before trying to sell them.

I put one of the older clamp on metal recoils off of a 98 670 ho and installed a rope for a King Cat and so far no problems, you will need to change the adapter from the bolt on style (plastic recoil) to the clamp on.

Ive had same issues. \Take it appart and clean all the grease out with brake clean. reassemble dry.
problem is brake dust enters and jams up the cog.\'
