Both my rear idlers have delaminated now on my 2012, was just wondering if this was a warranty issue that cat was covering? If not what are some after market wheels that are working good?

Ran the new style idlers on my M1000 Turbo last season and after 300 miles they weren't round anymore, 3 spoke design not enough support for 300 Hp. Put stock coloured 2011- idlers on like I have always run and no problem as long as you check the bearings once in a while. Aftermarket billet just get iced up and cause bad vibrations.

It should be. I had mine delaminate last year and they were covered. Unfrotunately you are likely on Cat Don't Care warranty, which means you have to pay $50 to have the idlers replaced when it was a known issue last year.

Oh, and I'm sure you'll pay another $50 when your coolant tank's seam splits and it starts leaking coolant.

That's right, your black coolant tank, that you need to remove the cap to check the level of, and need to remove the hood to get the cap off, will start leaking at a glued seam.

Had to change one last year before goin out west. It delaminated under 200 miles on machine. Dealer said it was backordered so I ordered the backorder part off of CountryCat (wasn't on backorder there, hmm) got no problems since in over a 1k miles +. It really makes a bad vibration in the machine. Just some more sourced part failures for the boys in TRF.

Mine came apart this year also. The edge motorsports here in Utah had cat warranty them for me. I didn't pay a single penny.

Happened to my sled last year, cat covered it without a deductible. A good dealer is part of the reason why. Call Michele at Oregon Trail Sports in Baker Oregon, she'll take care of it for you. She's on this site under Free Agent. Her service is hard to beat.

Here is a delaminated wheel. It has at least a 1/4" of the outer wheel left. Was having ratcheting issues. Hope replacing this will take care of that. Could have been taken care of through Cat Care, but 1 side cost $36 and took about half an hour to replace myself. Few bucks cheaper than the $50 deductible.

This was off an 2012 M1100T with 700 miles.

One of my wheels was totally chewed up like yours, my other wheel was loosing rubber but not into the plastic yet. I replaced both wheels with the updated 2013 wheels, which have no rubber on them. Paid the $50 deductible, wheels looking good after 150km.

2013's

I had one break at one of the spokes (bolt pulled through) on my 2013. The replacement was a 2012 style wheel. Will be installing an aftermarket two wheel setup & axle in the off season...
