Primary differences

Is there a difference between the edge clutch and one from the gen 2 chassis? Just in process of putting the gen 2 800 in the edge chassis. Also if they are interchangeable is there a quality difference between the two? My plan was to use the primary from the gen 2 and the secondary from the edge. Thanx to anyone that can help you guys have made a huge difference in the ease of this swap already.:beer;:beer;:beer;

800 primary clutches should be the same. They have a raised portion around the center on the cover. 6-700 do not. You can use either secondary. Gen II was likely a button secondary and the Edge may have been a Team. Both will work. Use the Edge drive belt because center to center is different on the edge. The 2000-2001 used the 065 belt and the edge uses the 080 belt. Make sure to check the sheeve clearance on the 2000 primary with a new 080 belt just to make sure it's correct. Should be good to go.
