I think he's onto something on the forks! I think the old forks from a KTM MXC380 would probably be impossible to bend. Interesting build, but definately not my cup of tea as a previous owner of a 78 XT500 which left alot to be desired compared to modern bikes.

I rebuilt the engine on that late last spring Rob, Nice work on it. I have all the wheels and swing sitting in my shop for it.

Good to know you. That was an unfortunate engine failure, I only wish Orion kept a closer watch on the bike and found the loose oil fitting. You guys hammered that bike for the video but it is awesome video
I never saw the conversion to MX. Looks really good.
I'm praying for snow for the one I'm building now.

Yeah it was unfortunate. I didn't ride the unit, his film crew and cast did all that. I'm just the wrench, the guys he took it to didn't know how to work on old iron, so they called me to look after it. Nice project though.
