I am building a mod sled for my kid with a 427 cc banshee motor and a snowhawk 121 track. 100 horsepower and 250 pounds dry. Bullhead moto has some great ideas. Looking for ideas, any suggestions? I want to get this thing done.

Suggestion,

I assume the choice of the track was based on 2.25" lug depth, very rigid lugs won't fold over like newer mountain tracks and trenches easyer with more power.

I remember a 2" 121 available for MXZ's back in 2000-2002.

More and more Hawk owners are converting mountain tracks these days, ripping the edges down on a table saw, and arching the outside lugs.

The mountain 144-159" factory models use the wide lug Camoplast mtn. cut down to 13" wide.

I chose a snowhawk track because it was 12 inches wide and with the arch in the paddles it just fits perfect. Not much room under this thing. As for the kid, I am building it for both of us. He is only 10 but he races motocross and rides my big sleds so horsepower is not new to him. Running 8 tooth antiratchets and building a diferent rear suspension all aluminum designed like a EZ ride. Already built one for his 300 enticer mod with a 136 1 1\2. Will post pictures as soon as i take some.

That thing is sweet. Talk about agile. Just think about leaning and that thing probably flops over. Nice build.

Really nice, beautiful frame!

Cant see your drivtrain there, but a CVT from say a Polaris ATV that is already built in with its own housing. That way no need to build a bellypan and hood can be much easier.

been thinking about tube chassi myself combined with plastic sheets for tunnel. Slick plastick = no snow buildup.
