shocking swap
yes can be done, when the idea of a 3rd shock was the rage a few years back I made three of them from fox air shox. worked, but 3 rd shock has kinda gone away.
I built a an old Cat front suspension shock into a shock for a friends China Hawk bike that needed more spring and more dampening, yup it works.
Running TS redampened shocks with Honda ATV front springs rated at 225 in the front of my TS suspension and Speed o motive 245 spring in the rear on my 'TS, quite a step up in suspension.
Shocks are shocks, take them apart and the mystery dissipates. They can be reconfig'd like your computer.
