What top end kits have worked well for folks in the past? I have a 2003 MTN Cat 600 which needs a top end before the snow flys. Looking for suggestions.

Arctic Cat Pistons

I have always had the best luck using OEM Arctic Cat pistons. Most of the time that I have strayed away from OEM I have only wished I wouldn't have.:face-icon-small-hap

On the 600 twin engines I have seen a lot of the stock pistons loose the locating pin for the rings. When the ends of the rings get in the exhaust ports you're done. I have never had that happen with an SPI piston. Knock on wood. Have seen it a lot with Wiseco also.

I'm with IDcatman on this, just for good measure you can always do a very minute center punch dimple at 10 o'clock above the ring land to about a 32nd from the locating pin this will lock it in. I do it to every piston before cryo. Longevity is not a mysterie...its logic.
