Question regarding skid/billet wheels & WTB skid/wheels

So I currently have a 04 King Cat 1M Titanium with a 162'' skid. I am not sure if this is a silly question but I still want to run the 162 track, but was wondering if you could run a shorter skid but run larger billet wheels to compensate for the shorter skid. I have no idea is this is possibile but if anyone who has done this please let me know what you thought of the change (to the shorter skid)/ride/etc, any input would be great. Have a ruined 162 skid. Also if anyone has a shorter skid/wheel combo PM me, I am interested in purchasing a new one.

I think with the larger diameter wheel in the rear adjustment location may cause your track to make contact with the rear rail ends. You may also need to extend the axle out some 2-3 inches.

You aren't going to gain enough with bigger wheels to go with anything shorter than about a 159" or maybe a 156" skid.
