Snorkel installation on Ski Doo 800 Summit

Has anybody put in a secondary air snorkel kit in a summit. I have been having trouble with my 2009 summit when in deep powder sucking to much snow. When in Wyoming over Thanksgiving I stopped at the Laramie dealership and bought a kit. It dosent come with any instructions. I have it all apart and making a template to cut the panel just behind the gauges. I think I need to do this first then fasten the snorkel to it then draw out where it will go into the airbox. I only get one chance and dont want to screw it up. Anybody have any suggestions or don'ts.
