My '17 Axy's ran flawless for the first 1,000 miles, then it struggled to run proper RPM's for the next 1,300 miles. I even clutched a tad lighter and 7,950 to 8,000 is all it would achieve regardless of clutch set-up. The motor went south at 2,300 miles. My warrantied motor is running very strong, just like when the sled was new. I was also able to go back to 10-62's and pulled 8,100 to 8250 RPM's all weekend long at 8,000 to 10,000'. Are we all chasing our tail believing it's all motor mounts, EV valve cables, TPS issues, worn belts and so on so forth. I now believe I lost my ring cylinder seal and running compression at about 1,000 miles, we'll see if this new motor also gets weak over the next couple months. If the EV valves weren't such a pain to remove I'd perform frequent piston inspections, but as long as I have warranty I'll just run it till it pukes.
