I have an 02 mtn cat 800 that something came apart in and split the chain case open. I am now just lookin for a standard chain case with gears and chain. I am sure many different years will work. Pm me if you have anything. Thanks again.

Look on ebay, there are always some for sale there. You are right, other will work. Anything from about 1998 on up. There are some minor differences but as long as it had a hydraulic brake it should bolt up. Good luck.
