xtx rev limiter

I have an 09 xtx and just about every time i get on the throttle i hit the rev limiter, any one know if this can be bypassed?

Not safe to bypass it. I would add weight to the primary clutch. How many rpms does it hit?

Yeah, the rev limiter is there for a reason. Something in the clutching is not right. Get the clutching right first. Make sure your belt is in good shape and not slipping causing the rpm's to run to high. You should be targeting 8600-8900 rpm on the engine. I changed a bunch of stuff on mine and have been slowly coming down to the right rpm. Mine doesn't hit the limiter until about 9250-9300 so you probably need to come down quite a bit.
