BIG Bores

I ran a Crankshop 900 in my REV for 3 years problem free. The big bore I have done to my XP is an 875 built by Spllit Second, I believe that Crankshop is almost ready to release their 875. The 900 is a complete top end. The 875 is a bore out of the stock cylinders with porting and a head shave. They both rock!!!

Thanks, How much HP did your 900 put out? Race or Pump gas?

900 info

The 900 put out 165-170 HP. I have it in an 04 Rev. It is set up with a Dynoport single pipe (Twins are horrible in the mountains and impossible to set up) and a MBRP can. The stock main jet on the 04 was a 400 I went with 390's. Most of my riding is at 5-7000 feet. I also have a Holzman NOS kit on it with a 30 HP boost. I ran the NOS for the 3 years also. We tore the engine down after 3600 miles and the rings and pistons were still like new. The sled is supposed to run on premium fuel and a lot of people did run only premium and the sleds stood up fine. I put 2.5 gallons of C-12 in every tank of fuel I used. Did I need to? Not sure but it is cheap insurance after spending all the money on the mods, and the engine condition after all the miles may be a result of the C-12.

Split Second

No they do not have a website but you can reach Ralph at Split Second in Valleyview Alberta at 780-524-4330. We have just got them dialed in to reliability. I will be talking to Ralph tomorrow to give him my experience. For more info read the thread started by Fredw "885r BB tq monster in revy over the weekend"

Stock jugs and stock cyl walls on an old 800, the biggest you can go is 860. Lots of guys do the 860/840/830. Ive seen a stock jug 926 around but it took alot of work. As far as using other jugs, I think there is a dude on here making a 1075 or something??

Ive got an 860 from Split Second in my 06 Rev. Wicked motor, it makes a sock 800 look like a 600.

Not as sure on the R, but my money would be going to Ralphy in a heartbeat for his 885. I'm sure all the other guys have thier big bores lined up and ready to go as well though.

I'm just a good buddy of Neil's. You'd have to ask him.

We talked about trying to make some twins for the 860 maybe early in the new year if things go well. He's been super busy lately. I keep telling him he needs to raise his prices!!
