surge tank on a rx1 turbo

im just about finished converting my rx1 to a midmount with an impulse header question is a while back i had bought a synergy aluminum tank and mountain mod seat from duke which has a factory apex fuel pump in the tank would it be a waste of time to run the factory fuel pump to the surge tank he sent me then the high volume pump to the regulator then to the carbs or is it a waste of my time .

or should i just make a plate to go in the back of the tank like the mountain perf high boost kits and run the fuel system like i had before tank to the pump to the regulator to the carbs

i just figured it would be a idea no big deal to use it or not just figured i would ask maybe someone has tried it and got good results
