We have done extensive work on RBR and RB3 for this engine.
Here are some points to think about from the last few months of testing.
1=RB3 or RBR uses more power to drive the injectors for higher boost levels. Power comes from the stock injectors.
2=The Skidoo ECU has a lot of stuff going on when it comes to controlling this motor. Relay for ECU Injectors, Ignition coils, Gauges, Fuel pump, hot grip controls etc.
We now recommend switching out the fuel pump’s direct wiring to a relay for better power to the ECU and RBR.
3=The Skidoo fuel pump system is not designed for a high boost turbo setup in steep climbing.
The biggest advantage RBR has over RB3
4=RBR is very good at making a map with My Tuning Bike and running at top performance once set up.
5=It also has the ability to pull fuel when running bigger injectors in Pump correction for throttle response.
6=Interpolation between columns at different boost levels provides smoother more tunable power.
7= If you want the best performance from your Skidoo 1200 all the time, at any boost level, the fuel pickup system and pump design needs to be upgraded.
We will be stocking all parts to upgrade these fuel systems.
