Why would I want to reverse my fan?
The radiator fan on a Viper blows directly into the air box opening. When you stop and the fan comes on it actually pressurizes the air box with hot air. The other issue is with snow covering your radiator and turning to ice blocking air flow. Reversing fan also stops or minimizes steam.
What about the fan canceling the air coming in? The fan should not run while you are moving just like in your car. If your fan comes on at speed you have other heating issues like tunnel cooler ice blocked. In rare situations like going slow on a very warm day you may have slight overheating, going faster or stopping solves this.
Wiring the fan direct makes it run at speed and does cancel air flow, use the adaptor or reverse the plug and please do not wire it direct as it will no function correctly that way.
