An idea was brought up in another thread to produce pickups with modern frame and amenities, old body templates.
Like Dodge did w/the Challenger.

Everybody name the one you would consider buying......

Dodge Warlock for me please.

1970 GM styling as a start, then give it the modern, muscular look, and must have those rounded wheel wells. Give it power steering/brakes and A/C though to make it easier to drive.:face-icon-small-win

my 2 cents

Mine must be a 70 chevy with newer brakes and driveline like a d-max and alllison setup with a little lift and 35 inch rubber .

1954 Chevrolet series 3100. Awesome 3 rear windshields. Curved glass? You can't beat that.
Dodge Power wagon.
1979 F-250.
Cars?
Cuda.
Super Bee.
Road Runner.
Duster/Demon.
440 GTX. Yeah I do like Mopar.
Ever since I was a little runt, for some reason I have loved the 1949 Ford. (car)

I'd love to see a retro workable new pickup roll off the line.

Influences from the '59 Chev Apache.

59 meets 2015... Updated and modernized with a LS-7

Or one of these... a 1968 D200... I had one of these for 10 years.

Put a small Diesel in it and 4x4 .... Retro Re-pop... ... wow that would be cool.

An Apache gets my vote too!

You should bee the quarter ton trucks down here with diesels. I mean, you can't even buy a Ford Ranger with a gas motor! Diesel only. Same goes for GMC's and Toyota's.

So you know they can build them. 4-cyl diesels have the performance of 6-cyl gaspots back home. Ford can tell me the 6-cyl Ecoboost makes similar numbers to the V-8's but personally having both, and driving each of them almost everyday, the only area the 6 beats the 8 is in fuel mileage.

But back on topic, an Apache with a Cummins Diesel for me!

I had a chance to buy a 1972 Chevy 4x4 with a 427. 2" lift and slightly oversized tires. Metallic rootbeer color. DANG it was nice.

At Copper Creek bowls parking lot near Lincoln, MT a couple years ago, I saw a 1960 something 4 door black Lincoln Continental (with fully white leather interior) mounted on a slightly lifted F250 Powerstroke chassis with a 7.3.
It probably had 33 or 35" tires on it.
I did get pictures of that one. I'll try to find them.
It was AWESOME!!!!

Fuel injection and an ignition that doesn't drown out in puddle has been nice, has been nice.

But it's really all been downhill on the wimp scale since the Power Wagon.
