hard wiring a garmin on an rmk

i have a 2010 polaris rmk and i am planning on mounting my garmin to the handlebars and i have the hard wire kit.
what wires are the best ones to tap into to connect this wire?
can mount to dash also if that is an easier or better location.

Take the center hood loose, or off. Up inside, by the headlight you will find a 12volt plug taped up in there.

I went straight to the battery with mine, if no battery then follow flatop600 directions. I have a Oregon 450 and use a ram mount on the handlebars. No more paper maps.
