Will a 94 580efi work in a 96 440zr carb?

If you are trying to put the 580 top end on the 440 bottom end, no it will not work. If you want to swap the whole engine, yes but you will need to swap the wiring harness, gas tank and fuel pump and all the electrical parts as well.
