Hey all,

I want to move all of the wheels on the outside of my rails to the inside.

Starting at the rear - I need the two wheel kit from an rmk:

#5333283 x 1 - Spacer (on shaft)
#5135305 x 1 - Shaft
#5436496 x 2 - Wheel spacer
#7555918 x 1 - Bushing

The next set of wheels by the rear arm - can I just stick them right on the other side of the rail or will I have to move them forward a bit and drill a new hole? I don't even know if there's a point since I think they are there for the 'tip up' in the rails.

The front wheels by the front arm I don't think I can move so I'll just keep those where they are.

As for the rear, I see a lot of two wheel kits available, I'm just curious if anyone has put 3 or 4 wheels between the rails at the back? What do I need to do it?

Thanks,
Frank

You can only move the idlers. The bogies will interfere with the suspension. I moved mine in and it helps with off trail performance.

If you ride deep powder only, just take them off.

Him okay thanks. I do a mix of off and on trail so I can't ditch them.

Most rmk's don't have the rail bogies on the outside. It helps with low snow for the sliders but not necessary.

Yeah I see that but the switchback assault has the tipped rails at the back so not having those wheels would wear out the sliders faster imo.

For what it's worth.... I have a 2011 SBA and removed all outside wheels before riding it. That was 3000 miles ago without a problem at all, and it was 40% trail ridden. I am on my 2nd set of sliders too.

Oh really? I guess I could give it a shot and if I don't like the amount of wear I see then I can always put them back on!
