Replacing the carb boot on my brothers 99 powder special. Does any one have any tricks to make this easy?
I did this on a zl I had and it was a pain in the ***. Maybe thinking it would be easier to pull the airbox and replace it that way.
Maybe pull the carbs? Just thought I would ask before I start it here in a couple of days.

Thanks

I would remove the airbox and then replace the boot. Once you have it removed I would remove the screws securing the cover to gain access to the inside of the airbox once inside you can remove what they call a resonator this is secured by tabs that secure into the airbox. leave this out when you put the airbox in and it makes it much easier to install the boots onto the Carbs/Throttle body because you can get your hands n the airbox and make sure your boots are seated correctly.

Hope this helps if you have any other questions give me a call
