07 800R Secondary Bushing

I've seen several references to check and replace the secondary bushing if needed, since it has a tendency to wear. The manual I have shows two bushings - a smaller one (46) and a larger one (47). Which of these is the one to be worried about? What should I check for - uneven wear, looseness, etc.? Thanks.

Check for both. If they are worn they will have a visible wear mark on one side. Also the helix bushing should be snug on the helix ( not tight ) if it feels loose and has some slop in it I would replace it. Cheap peace of mind.

hey dude,

the outside larger bushing on the 07's were half as wide as the 06 x model hpv roller clutches....if you change the bushing go for the 06 x package hpv roller bushing. twice the surface area 6mm vs 12mm
