I'm no post whore by any means and it took me around seven dam years to get up to over 3000 posts.
Now I show less than 2000.
WTF CHRIS?????

Anybody else lose post count or....

I lost over a 1000 too? Can't help but a certain max poster is still over 31,000 posts so it wasn't from the Max post thread.

Whats going on?
Earlier this morning I was at 3,7xx something posts, in the 8 years I've been on here,

since you just mentioned it, I see I'm down to 989.

Is this some backlash from the "Thanks" fiasco, or some system error?

I did a quick check on some other threads, and seems like a number of people are down in counts from what I remember.

And why does it matter again? Get back to work everybody!!!thanks
'Spose you have a good point "Skins".

How about they just delete the rep feature, and delete the post count feature, "thanks" feature as well.
Let the 4M users decide if they want to post in a thread or not.

Temptation for increased counts would be gone.

Think of the server space it would save. LOL.

On Tuesday Night we ran the Vbulliten Optimizations on the main database.

On Wednesday Night we ran the RECOUNTS on all the Vbulliten Counters.

In almost all cases this results in the final counts on ALL NUMBERS (not just post counts) coming DOWN.

Your current post count now reflects exactly what is available on SnoWest.

I had to do this in order to get the new REP system ready to turn ON today.

Just to be 100% clear here.
I did NOT DING any member on SnoWest for 1 single post!!

This was a FULLY AUTOMATED PROCESS that is built into the forums by the software team at VBulliten, and it part of the standard required maintenance to be performed on ALL forums on a yearly basis.
