14 m8000, 650 miles, mostly boondocking...84 belt...measured width compared to new belt, exactly the same, no threads, cracks, etc...stock clutching, arctic cat vented side panels, clutches always warm, never hot...sled seems about perfect for what i wanted...:face-icon-small-hap

2012 800 with boondocker turbo. Has a team secondary. Took the original belt off at 1000 miles, blew the second belt at about 1700 miles, put turbo on at 2000 miles, grenaded the third belt at about 2900 and now on 4th belt at about 3800 miles. And these are not trail miles and I don't stop to cool my clutches every few miles. It gets ridden as hard or harder than all other sleds I ride with

2013 PC 800 on 12 lbs boost.

1500 miles on the second 84 belt. Same as above...deep snow under boost and I never stop to cool clutches down. Am running TEAM secondary but only for the last 300 miles.

Could not be happier with this sled!:face-icon-small-coo

I've blown 2 belts in 1000 miles on my 2012. Both were when I tried a softer secondary spring for a weekend and sucked the belt too far down into the secondary. Other than that; not an issue, I also don't ride as hard as some of the guys. I like beer and food breaks too much.:face-icon-small-win:face-icon-small-hap

2013 Proclimb, did 300 miles of trail running before i went to the mountains and then blew 2 belts 084 that weekend.. Then i geared down to 19/50 and started using 086 belt. that belt lasted almost 500 miles of hard riding.. The next 086 belt is still going strong at 560 miles

360 miles on the 2014 Pro-lite and belt still looks perfect. Still running the BDX/BMP clutching that came in it with the stock secondary. Both clutches seem to be about the same temperature and I can hold my hand on them for a few seconds. The belt itslef seems to get pretty hot though. Running the 084 with 19/50 gearing.

Whats an 086? I thought 084 and 083 were the belts to use?

640 miles on my original belt. Perfect condition. Starting to see a little drop in rpm on a tough on and off throttle climb,or should I say,not as quick backshift. Belt is prob a tiny bit out of spec. Very happy with the clutching though. love the sled, once I got used to the new design!

1200 miles on 2013 m8 sno pro limited. Updated factory secondary and 19/50 gearing. Put vented side panels on and knock on hard wood, still running original belt.

Pulled cord in first junk 083 belt at roughly 300 mi, put on the 084 that was sent out and that one is looking good at close to 900mi. Belt heat went way down with the 084. Have pulled at least one guy off the mountain with this belt as well. :face-icon-small-coo

2013 M8- Blew first belt at 300 miles, blew second at 450. Got the "improved" clutch put on it this year and put 800 miles on and grenaded another, so I am happy with getting 500 more miles out of a belt this year.
2014 M8- Pulled cords at about 400, changed belts and been good since.

I had a 084 belt come out of the top of the primary last weekend and explode using the team tied. I was though, trying to top it out speed wise on a hard pack trail when it happened. Going over 70mph.

You are sure that it came out of the primary? What I discovered is that 084 is a bit short with tied and it bottoms down in tied before primary is at full shift.. So when you try to top it out speed, primary still squeezes while the belt is already at bottom of the tied and rips your belt apart.. Solution is to use a bit longer belt like 085 or right kind of aftermarket belt.. 086 is a bit too long what I have tested it..

Took few belts from me before I found out what there really happens.. After that I did put in a bit longer belt and no trabols after that..

It looked like it came out of the top of the primary but hard to tell. Thanks for the info. I'm using an 086 now and have found it to be a tad too long as well. Cogs sticking out the top of the tied and have 1.5" of deflection. Didn't even know they had an 085. Might need to try that next.
