Protecting Wilderness Characteristics on Lands Managed by Bureau of Land Management

The whole plan is probably a violation of FPLMA and a staggering waste of money........ too bad it is going to cost a fortune to get to that decision

The language in this "order" seems ambiguous enough to allow for partisan interpretation.... "manage land to maintain Wilderness attributes"... what the h#ll does that mean? The new order does not mention what "wilderness characteristic" need be present to allow for the new "Wildland" designation?

Due to lack of definitive descriptions this seems a weak rule. However it will take much time to reverse, and a political will that just isn't there. I think the Public land pirates know this... and count on it.

This seems to be an obvious ploy aimed at restricting traditional "Multiple Use" access / recreation opportunities on BLM lands. More defacto Wilderness. Sad
