I'm a Klim dear to take this for what it is worth.
If it does not say Gore-Tex do not buy it. I don't know if you are a hunter or not but Gore-Tex is the gospel.
I've been looking at these other forms of water-proofing but have not found any that will guarantee water-proofing like Gore-Tex will, thus they are not as good as Gore-Tex.
