This is doable for sure. Would need a 2 stroke jack shaft or maybe you to modify existing. Would also need an oil tank...we were thinking of 3 quart capacity. And the reason we have not done anything with this application is you would not have reverse. But our guess is that it would shed close to 20lbs, and the performance gain is incredible!

The oil level sensor... it seems pretty proud on the outside of the tank... could it be moved to the backside of the tank... is there room there?

There is not enough room in the back of the tank. We have many many miles logged on these drive system and no one has ever had an issue.
